About Loki
Loki is a horizontally scalable, multi-tenant log aggregation system inspired by Prometheus. Instead of indexing the full text of every log line, it indexes only labels and metadata, keeping storage costs low and operations simple.
Logs are stored compressed and unstructured, then queried through LogQL or Grafana. Loki integrates natively with Grafana and uses the same label model as Prometheus, so you can jump between metrics and logs without switching tooling.
Self-hosting Loki keeps your logs on infrastructure you control, with no per-gigabyte or per-host licensing. VPS1 deploys Loki alongside Grafana and Prometheus for a complete, open observability stack.
