Jan
Open-source, self-hostable AI platform -- desktop app for local models plus an enterprise-grade server with WebUI.
About Jan
Jan is an open-source AI platform with two components: the Jan desktop app (44k GitHub stars, Tauri-based, runs 500+ LLMs 100% offline) and Jan Server, a companion self-hosted microservices platform. Together they provide a complete stack from local model execution to enterprise-grade API hosting.
Jan Server features a Docker Compose deployment with a React + Vite chat WebUI, OpenAI-compatible LLM API, Response API for multi-step MCP tool orchestration, Keycloak OIDC authentication enforced by Kong gateway, PostgreSQL and Redis backing stores, and full observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and Jaeger. MCP tools include Google Search, web scraping, and code execution. Desktop-quality AI, self-hosted.
